Nonprofit Outreach Volunteer - Requirements

Availability: Volunteers must have at least 10 hours per week of availability to volunteer between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM in their respective time zone.

Home Office Setup: You must possess a laptop or desktop computer with a reliable Wi-Fi connection. This role involves remote work and requires volunteers to have a dedicated workspace.

Communication Tools: Access to a reliable phone line (landline, cell phone, or VoIP phone) is mandatory. This ensures that you can connect with our team and the organizations we work with.

Communication Skills: Given the nature of the role, volunteers must possess clear verbal communication skills. The ability to express oneself clearly and concisely is crucial for effective coordination.

Experience: While not strictly mandatory, individuals with previous customer service or sales experience are highly desirable. Such experience equips volunteers with a skill set that's highly beneficial for this role.

Commitment: As a volunteer, you're expected to commit to the values and mission of Simple Community Service (SCS). We encourage a minimum service period of 40 hours to ensure continuity and effectiveness in our outreach efforts.

Technological Proficiency: Basic knowledge of computer usage, internet navigation, and standard communication software is required. Volunteers will often need to utilize these tools to fulfill their duties.

Volunteer Secret Shopper - Requirements

Residence: Volunteer must reside in the Metro Atlanta area.

Age: Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

Background Check: Due to the nature of the role, all applicants must consent to and pass a criminal background check.

Integrity: This role requires absolute honesty, as the main task is to assess and report on the activities of non-profit organizations in an unbiased manner.

Observation Skills: Candidates must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, as they will need to accurately report their observations.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as the volunteer will need to write reports and may need to discuss observations and findings.

Discretion: Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion at all times is crucial in this role.

Transportation: Volunteer must have reliable transportation to visit various non-profit organizations within the Metro Atlanta area.

Commitment: The volunteer should be committed to the values and mission of Simple Community Service (SCS) and should be prepared to serve for a minimum of 40 hours.
